Officials of the American firm have confirmed during the 2019 Geneva Motor Show that the brand will commercially launch the new Jeep Gladiator in the old continent, although this new pick-up version will arrive in limited quantities in the European market.
The American firm unveiled the new JL-generation pick-up variant of the Jeep Wrangler late last year at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show. This open rear cradle variant is a long derivative of the current Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, choose your best aftermarket replacement of Jeep Wrangler led headlights, from the that inherits the entire front and much of the cabin.
Although at first we presumed that this variant would be exclusively destined for the US market, a market avid for pick-up versions of any size, apparently it will also be available in the old continent.
Executives of the American brand present at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show have confirmed to British media that the new Jeep Gladiator will also be available in Europe from next year, although they did not reveal too many details about the model and its marketing.
For now, the only thing we know is that the new Jeep Gladiator will arrive in Europe sometime in the first or second quarter of 2020, although we do not have more precise dates for its presentation or its arrival at European dealerships, so that we can expect to be presented at the next 2020 edition of the Geneva Motor Show, usually there are all kinds of Jeep Wrangler led headlights can be founded, if the new version of European specifications is not revealed beforehand.
At the moment we do not have details about the variant that will be marketed in the old continent, nor about the composition of its range, since in the United States the Gladiator will only be available with the 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar engine, instead of the 4-cylinder diesel and gasoline engines that are available for the Wrangler in Europe.
We understand that like the rest of the Wrangler range, the new Jeep Gladiator will have a catalog structured differently in Europe, however, Jeep has already warned that the V6 was the only engine chosen for the US market for torque reasons. In the same way, the executives of the American firm have already confirmed that the new Gladiator will arrive in limited quantities to the old continent, since the brand does not expect this version to be one of the best-selling in the European market.
