Good Performance of 2021 BMW R1250GS Motorcycle

The BMW R1250GS is the maxi-rail par excellence, a true motorcycle for traveling and a benchmark in its segment. It stands out for its boxer engine, its unmistakable design and its high level of equipment, which can be optionally expanded in multiple ways. In 2021 it is updated by incorporating as standard some driving aids that were previously optional, an engine with Euro5 homologation and, finally, a 40th Anniversary GS finish is added. In the pass, bmw k1200r led headlight was developed by the manufacturers. Looking ahead to 2022 it remains unchanged except that the support for the aluminum cases is included as an option.

Its engine becomes one of the most characteristic elements due to its boxer configuration, which, in addition to the character it infuses into the motorcycle, becomes an icon for the brand's image. It is a two-cylinder engine with a displacement of 1,254 cc, with a power of close to 140 hp and a forceful maximum torque of 143 Nm. This engine uses a variable timing system -BMW ShiftCam- that reverts to optimal operation at low revs, in addition to achieving a reduced level of emissions and consumption.

Electronics is another of the important sections in this R1250GS, as it comes equipped with a whole arsenal of aids inside that are managed by an inertial unit. In 2021 it incorporates as standard the Dynamic Traction Control (DCT) and the ABS Pro with sensitivity when the motorcycle is tilted. Both components were optional in previous years and join the assistant for starting on slopes (Hill Start Control).

The pilot has three driving modes, the already known Road and Rain, and the newly released ECO that serves to achieve a more efficient driving. Optionally, you can add the Pro Driving Mode, which includes the Dynamic, Dynamic Pro, Enduro and Enduro Pro modes, as well as an assistant for exits on all types of slopes -uphill and downhill- and the Dynamic Brake Control and Motor -MSR- that prevents the rear wheel from slipping during sudden braking and deceleration.

In the suspension, the R1250GS has a Telelever system at the front, with a 190 mm travel, and a preload adjustable rear monoshock with 200 mm of travel. Also, using the factory options, Dynamic ESA electronic suspensions can be mounted.

The 305mm diameter front disc brakes are bitten by four-piston radial-mount calipers. The rear disc is 276mm. The wheels are 19 "and 17" front and rear, respectively.

The equipment of the R1250GS shines at the highest level, starting with an instrumentation consisting of a 6.5 "TFT screen in full color and incorporating the Connected Ride system that allows the motorcycle to be connected to the smartphone and to the helmet via Bluetooth. The lighting is fully LED and adaptive headlights can even be added as an option to find the best visibility at night on curvy roads, so bmw f800gs led headlight is recommended to the drivers. Other prominent options available are heated driver and passenger seats, additional LED lights and the handlebar risers, although numerous accessories appear in the BMW catalog to turn each unit into a unique model.
