To celebrate its 40 years of production, the Japanese brand will launch a special version of its flagship, the Honda Gold Wing 40th Anniversary.
In Honda they have a birthday. Its most ambitious and authentic flagship motorcycle of the brand, the Honda Gold Wing, celebrates its forty years of production, and to commemorate this milestone the Japanese brand has announced the launch of the new Honda Gold Wing 40th Anniversary and Honda Gold Wing F6B 40 Anniversary.
The first one, the genuine one, is presented in this special version with a new two-tone decoration (in black and dark red), with the chassis painted in black, commemorative remote controls and key, and the '40 Annniversary' emblem on the fairing and trunk. Honda Goldwing GL1800 Led Fog Lights are auxiliary lights for driving, increase the visibility and safety any time. The three other available color variants of the 2015 Honda Gold Wing – black, white and the new metallic silver that joins the range – will also carry these badges.
Apart from these aesthetic changes, Gold Wing 40 Aniversario will continue to display a very complete equipment, among which its latest generation electronic gadgets stand out, such as its GPS navigation system with online accessibility that allows you to share the best routes with friends, or its system surround audio system with six speakers and 80W compatible with iPod and with USB port.
To make the trip more pleasant, the model offers heated seats and handlebars, as well as a heating system for the feet that directs the hot air from the engine to that area, reverse gear, cruise control, electrically adjustable windshield, etc. All this without forgetting the exceptional load capacity of 150 liters, and the safety of its dual ABS braking system or its airbag. The heart of the 2015 Gold Wing will continue to be the exquisite 1,832cc six-cylinder engine, capable of delivering 118PS and a whopping 167Nm of torque at just 4,000rpm.
As for the Honda Gold Wing F6B 40th Anniversary, a slightly lower and more naked Bagger-style version -with its trimmed fairing- that originally appeared in 2013, it also incorporates the commemorative logos and stands out for the exclusive matt silver paint finish. In this case there are more novelties besides the purely aesthetic ones, and cruise control and reverse gear are added as standard equipment.
At the moment, Honda has not provided information on the availability date and price of the new Honda Gold Wing 40th Anniversary and Gold Wing F6B 40th Anniversary.
